It’s nice to see the syndication website get an overhaul. Other than changing logos with successive ownership changes, it’s the first real refresh of the site since the Southern Cross Syndication days.

The new branding will be unveiled in the internal “town hall” meeting tomorrow afternoon. Then it’s gonna inevitably leak out one way or another.

This branding will be in place from next week.

Just heard the midnight news opener on 2GB. It sounds almost like the one that was used on “Talking Lifestyle” aka 2UE in 2016.

Yeah not a fan, its too weak. Bring back the SC era music for 3AW at least. I wouldn’t have thought they would have gone with Talking Lifestyle based on how bad that ended up.

They should have used the more “swirly version” of SC era - 12am tonight should have sounded like the below: (I mocked it up)

I note that news bulletins are signing off with just the reporters name.

“In Melbourne, Madelaine Burke”.

When it would previously say - “In Melbourne, Madelaine Burke, Nine News”.
