Yeah as intro and outros. You don’t have a full 3 min song play lol

Just thought I’d compare 3AW’s Survey 8 2023 ratings with the Survey 8 2024 ratings.

Numbers are not 100% accurate because timings of shows are different to radio breakdowns:

Overall
2023: 13.9
2024: 13.8 (-0.1)

Breakfast
2023: 18.1
2024: 19.3 (+1.2)

Mornings
2023 Neil Mitchell: 16.3
2024 Tom Elliott: 15.3 (-1.0)

Afternoons
2023: 10.6
2024 Tony Moclair: 9.1 (-1.5)

Drive
2023 Tom Elliott: 10.2
2024 Jacqui Felgate: 8.5 (-1.7)

Seems to me that the issues are occurring after midday. It is disappointing for AW that they no longer get double digit ratings all day.

I understand the reasoning behind the station wanting to attract younger audiences with the hiring of Jacqui Felgate, but those numbers are very poor and the show is not resonating as much as it should be.

Also concerning is the Afternoons figures. Tony Moclair is a great broadcaster but he would be much better suited to Overnights or Nights.

I very rarely get to listen to Tony Moclair, except on a day off, but I feel he was better suited to Overnights.

Jacqui Felgate has ruined the Drive slot, too much emotional involvement and her raucous laugh grates on me.

In hindsight, Tom should’ve been left on Drive, where his style of program dominated the slot, and Tony Jones should be hosting Mornings. He would’ve been the perfect fit with his background in journalism. Jacqui could’ve hosted Afternoons if need be.

And that’s time on Ray Hadleys career.

I was thinking he might do Sundays with the CCT but sounds like he’s done with radio.

I heard Fox were sounding him out to call footy but I think this rumours have cooled.

He’ll probably take an extended break before we see him pop up anywhere.
But yea this certainly the end of an era.

Any predictions who’ll take over 2GB’s WWOS in 2025 with Mark Levy moving to Mornings?

More changes at 2GB …Chris O’Keefe has just announced he is finishing up on Drive and leaving 2GB after 2 years and indeed getting out of broadcasting media (13 years). Going into some kind of consultancy.

I would love to see Clinton Maynard score 2GB Drive. I believe he is slated to cover summer drive … keep him there i say.

2GB is really getting a shake-up. I wonder if it’s to do with the ratings not being anywhere near where they were in the Alan Jones days?

Regardless, this could also be in response to 2SM powering back up. 2GB really need their A-game again. They can no longer rely on having near zero competition in the Sydney AM radio market.

Surely it will be Clinton Maynard to Drive, and Overnights being piped out of Melbourne 7 days a week.

In the short term, who is left to fill in over Summer? Who will be filling in for Ben Fordham now Mark Levy is on Mornings? The station seems to be incredibly short of on-air talent.

Did Ben announce who’ll be filling-in from Monday in his final show this morning?

As for Clinton, I’m sure he’ll get something better, but I’m unsure it’ll be as strong as 2GB Drive.

I’ll go back to my previous comments… where does all of these AM movements leave Jason Morrison? I’m predicting he’ll pop-up at either 2GB or 2SM.

John Stanley into 2GB brekkie at last part of summer break. Bill Woods into nights which is a super safe pair of hands

Luke Grant will no doubt cover somewhere on 2GB summer weekdays but i think he’s taking a break atm first.

Please NOOOO … too much for the (Sydney) human units like me to stand (although maybe payback since we have imposed K&JO on Melbourne). If Clinton moves hopefully Mr Jeffreys could resume full time Mon-Fri??

i am surprised to hear than Chris O’Keefe is stepping down from Drive (3-6pm). Especially with no prior hint of him leaving until this afternoon.

Although in the latest ratings, there was a good increase, most of his ratings have been “average”.

A bit hard for anyone at GB to get any attention recently with Ray’s announcement/retirement. But I agree. it’s a shame that Chris didn’t get more of a send-off.
