Following 4BC’s revelation Peter Fegan will take over as breakfast show host – replacing Laurel Edwards, Gary Clare, and Mark Hine – attention has now turned to the future of afternoon host Sofie Formica.
The seasoned radio presenter was notably absent from an internal email sent to staff on Thursday, which outlined the station’s programming shake-up, including Gary Hardgrave’s continuation in the Drive slot, filling the position vacated by Peter Gleeson.
Now Insiders tell Scoop that Formica is in talks with at least two rival stations, with one reportedly offering her a significant deal.

Yeah this was mentioned a few weeks ago about Sofie. I’m wondering why she’s wanting to leave. There’s been no negative coverage as far as I’m aware regarding her show and from what I’ve personally heard on air, listeners seem to like her.
Maybe she wanted Breakfast and is now salty she didn’t get it so she wants out?
Who knows.

It looks like with Peter Fegan moving to 4BC Breakfast from Monday that we loose our local Weekend Mornings program. The schedule on the 4BC website shows Luke Grant presenting from this weekend meaning piped up from 2GB. I hope this is either a mistake or temporary. Surely they have someone in Brisbane who can do weekends? Michelle Tapper?

Speculation is Michelle would be the prime candidate to host Afternoons next year with Sofie reportedly unhappy and moving on.
So I guess there is a deficiency in available talent in Brisbane resulting in a networked program.
