Technical Plagued edition of nights with Denis and Grubby has been posted

Yeah it appears to be the case
Remaining issues appear to be the traffic updates with static, only one camera angle in studio (for the live feed) and no sound effects for in program. All intros and outros are playing correct.
Example of this was the clock/timer on the Melbourne Minute quiz. Kirsten had to come into the studio and time it on her phone.

Even the sport transition in news, has been working and then not all day

Gary Adshead is returning to 6PR to host mornings from November 21, replacing Liam Bartlett who recently announced his departure. Gary previously hosted mornings and drive for the station.
Gary will also report for WAToday and deliver news specials for Nine News Perth, as part of his new contract with Nine Entertainment.

Nine staff don’t maintain things like transmitters or do their own OB’s anymore - those tasks still happen at lots of metro radio stations but not in TV anymore. The TV staff with that experience are long gone from the payroll at places like 9/7/10. Radio needs a broader skill set than TV now does.

I think you’ll find the TV “people” aren’t running or working in the day to day of the radio stations….

Nine operations from Sydney are now the management layer over the top of their radio stations

Yes, but the television department isn’t running radio or print.

Exacrly. Nine isn’t a TV business anymore it’s a media company.

The heads of the company aren’t running the day to day from a TV control room,

More technical issues at AW. Unable to play ads and no program sound effects and music available. Still able to take calls.

EDIT: Problem fixed after midnight. There were some issues towards the end of Remember When though.

3AW breakfast hasn’t taken a break since 5:30 news. They say they can’t take calls. And might be taking Sydney news again.

What is going on? This is the highest rating station in Australia’s second biggest city!

3aw still blocking out wagering ads with dead air. This was the approach after the technical fails let some wagering slip through. Seems they haven’t yet got their usual CSA lined up to cover the dead air again yet.

Also at the 1pm news the computer froze so Tony had to end it and go to the sport bumper and which that section all seemed to work ok.

Excellent pairing.

Zac is a great journalist and Michael a fantastic mentor with huge experience at Parliament House and beyond.

You’ll go a long way to find criticism of Michael’s reporting, the online armchair experts don’t bother throwing a punch.

Change is afoot this week with SEN produced Sportsday ending on 3AW.

SEN Sportsday with Gerard Healy and Kane Cornes starts tomorrow, and 3AW Wide World of Sports with Sam McClure starts Wednesday. Tomorrow night on 3AW will be a Melbourne Cup wrap hosted by Michael Felgate.

@JohnsonTV, I know you’ve been a big fan of Sportsday, have you chosen between listening to either Sportsday or WWOS going forward?

I am planning to listen to both shows given they are available as podcasts.

Around 2pm Thursday, 4BC on air software systems crashed/hacked.

No 2pm news, headlines at 2:30 read in Studio. 3pm bulletin from Sydney.

Programming had no commercials, no callers, only music for breaks, this soaked up the final hour of Sofie Formica and onto Neil Breen’s drive show.

Similar to 3AW.
