Reckon he might get a position on one of the radio or TV stations up there?
Finally, he can pump it out on Prime at long last.
He would be good spruiking outside a discount store.
We already have our own âTim Baileyâ. Paul Burt.
LOL yeah, thatâs true!
At least Paul Burt does not have an annoying voice. Why canât Tim keep heâs job and do the weather remotely from the Gold Coast? He doesnât have to be in Sydney.
Thatâs the kind of thinking that has 2DayFM rating in the toilet. The talent, particularly for a breakfast show, needs to be in Sydney.
Itâs a weather presenter not the whole show, the vast majority of people would not know he is on the Gold Coast.
Agreed.
Surely itâs not that hard to find decent radio talent in a metropolis with approximately 5.2 million people?!
He can hardly relay local weather information effectively to a radio audience when heâs hundreds of kilometres away in the Queensland sunshine while Sydney suffers through a freezing, foggy morning.
Youâd think 2DayFM wouldâve tried something revolutionary by now like installing a team that has well developed chemistry and is relatable to Sydneysiders.
Most of the time the weather presenters read information obtained from BoM and as thus a weather report can be written and presented anywhere. Given that Ben Fordhamâs show didnât rate particularly well last survey, your point about the weather being presented from someone in Sydney is valid but also keeping a stable line up is also equally as important. For that reason I would keep him there as the vast majority of people would assume he is in Sydney so it would be a non issue that he is not in Sydney.
While true, I donât think the departure of one segment presenter (whoâs time on-air is whatâŚmaybe 5-10 minutes at most during a 3.5 hour show?) will have a massive impact on 2GBâs breakfast ratings.
In a few months from now, all but the most loyal Tim Bailey fans will probably have forgotten that he was ever on 2GB breakfast.
Thatâs a very pre-internet mindset.
Most people wonât know the difference, itâs a presenter known to be from Sydney.
I prefer the stability of having the regular newsreader doing the weather rather than having Tim screaming down the line at 630 and 830. I also prefer Amy Meehan to Natalie Peters, but then again I am not too fussed about Ben Fordham either.
I wonder if 2GB will ever consider replacing with Chris Smith at Breakfast?
Does Ben Fordham need a co-host? 3AW breakfast works well with a co-host.
Well Alan Jones unofficially had Stephanie
It could be argued that Stephanie had Alan as cohost.
