You just don’t like the conservative point of view.
If he was a lefty, you’d love him.

Jim Wilson is lightweight pure fluff.
The perfect type for Nine Radio or the modern 2GB.
Soros is a shareholder of Nine isn’t he?
No wonder they are replacing learned, well-researched conservatives with tv type fluff that doesn’t rock the lefty boat.
He supposedly was after their IPO in 2013, not sure what has happened since.
And you don’t like the socialist point of view. And that’s completely fine. We’re all different people with different points of view - let’s not shit all over someone’s points just because they have different politics.
So you’d love Kevin Rudd if he was on the right? You don’t have to agree/disagree with someone to think they’re a good person &/or good at their job.
And this thread has jumped the shark.
Who sent the media release? What contact details at the bottom of the page?
I got the press release from Twitter.
However there is an article from The Courier-Mail last week to prove the news is real.
Uhh, why?
I don’t doubt it’s real. Simply curious if PR is still being managed from Sydney rather than returning to local.
I notice a lot on here don’t rate a whole bunch of conservative broadcasters.
Nothing wrong with most of you being of the left, but just aknowledge why you don’t like them. They don’t suit your political agenda. Many of them are good at their job and there is definitely a market out there for them.
I’ll admit I’m the same the other way.
Just be honest about it.
BTW, I think it’s criminal that the George and Paul show on 2GB is no more. It was a great show with a conservative tinge.
The Two Murrays being brought back…again and again and again is hidious (albeit over summer at this stage). They don’t rock the boat and that’s what the new world order at Nine want.
More fluff, less substance.
Certainly a lot of fluff in this thread.
When they originally paired up Paul was the old grump and George was the trendy hipster. It was a very good show. As they aged they both moved to the right which meant that instead of a discussion of opposing views, when they talked about anything political it became a back slapping tirade of hateful waffle from two old grumps.
When they talked entertainment and technology it was still a very good show, despite George’s Apple superiority complex. I miss the show, even though towards the end of its run I stopped listening.
4BC local programming finished for 2020
Scott Emerson finished 4BC’s local breakfast today.
Thanked his panel op, Ashley Easter. Also thanked producers Georgina Prior, Henry Bretz and Steve O’Connell.
Good to see 4BC/Nine Radio expanding local workforce in Brisbane, jobs for Nova staff who have been made redundant from what feels like never ending rounds of redundancy at Nova.
Lots of fluff like your bizarre post.
3aw/2GB/4BC is covering carols by candlelight with Simon and Phil
Eddie McGuire just gave his first Nine Radio Interview just few minutes ago
How are 4bc and 2gb audience enjoying the Carols coverage? Simon and Phil have a fairly different style to anything you hear north of the Murray.
so so I guess, unfortunately they were simulcast on 2UE also, one station would have been enough
Many Brisbane callers. All of the usual audience the presenters attract. Brisbane loves comfortable night time talk with warm hosts and programs which air many calls from older people.
I gather that the 3AW/2GB/4BC coverage was hosted by 3AW whereas the Magic/2UE/4BH coverage was just a straight simulcast of Nine TV.
I recall even before the Nine ownership and before TL and MSR that Magic and 3AW did similar.
Yes that’s right, however I think they may have played music during some ad breaks? Not too sure, had it on in the background.
On another note, I’m curious as to when 3KZ’s involvement ceased, I can recall 3MP and Magic having radio rights through the 1990s, short google session shows me late 1960s so a bit of a gap there!
The West is reporting more upheaval at 6PR with evening host Chris Ilsley the latest casualty. The veteran presenter has been sacked after 21 years with the station. It’s understood his contract was set to expire soon.
Ilsley hosted his last Perth Tonight program earlier this month and was expected to return on January 18.
Tod Johnston and Tony McManus are currently on over summer.
