Nine Radio (Talk)

That doesn’t immediately disqualify someone from making great radio or TV. Exhibit A: Stuart Littlemore during his time on Media Watch.

But of course, I don’t have time for Peta Credlin on any medium for the reasons already pointed out.

Not a good example. Littlemore was a successful current affairs reporter on This Day Tonight and Four Corners before he started practicing law.

I take your point, though. Not sure many here would classify Alan Jones as a “good broadcaster” but the former teacher, rugby coach and speech writer for Malcolm Fraser certainly became a successful and influential broadcaster. Perhaps, given time and continued mentoring from Jones, she’ll continue to improve and become as successful and influential.

The ABC is socialist left with not one conservative host of any show.

The sad thing is this stuff is tax payer funded. So no matter what side of the fence you’re on, you’ve got to pay for the ABC’s far left view of the world.

Oh but we can’t have a conservative presenter on another network.

Credlin will go well at 2GB during her summer spot. Much better than the fluff she will be filling in for.

Good luck to her and you. We’re all entitled to our views. I don’t get your views on the ABC but that’s ok.

Peta Credlin reminds me of AI - but with the emphasis on artificial rather than intelligence. I can’t see her working well on radio. Why would anyone listen to her when she’s the person you would avoid sitting next to at the family Christmas dinner?

She’s not a fembot - Peta’s a Libbot. It’s only if more Libbots start appearing that I will get worried.

Socialist left? Hyperbole at it’s finest.

Anyway, aren’t Amanda Vanstone, Tom Switzer or Ian McNamara conservative enough for you?

If they aren’t Pauline Hanson, Mark Latham etc then apparently it’s too far left skewing.

Typical biased lefties giving right-wingers a space to combat supposed bias.

Oh.

One was a doozie for Tony Jones and Fair play to Tony for shutting him down.

This last couple of days, I have been enjoying the Tony Jones Show better than Neil Mitchell.

Anyone ring up with the lyrics to the Family Guy theme tune or the answer India? :stuck_out_tongue:

A few have called up using the nickname he hates and calling them that

With Steve Mills set to move to Afternoons at 6PR, I reckon they should’ve put him on weekend breakfast and left Simon Beaumont in afternoons.

It would feel pretty crap to be doing the breakfast slot for a number of years, and then be moved to afternoons.

He’s probably grateful for no longer having to set the alarm for 3.00am.

I’d probably also feel crap if I’d been doing weekday breakfast to get shifted to weekend breakfast.

For all we know maybe Steve himself wanted to move to afternoons for family or other reasons and didn’t want to do breakfast anymore, and it worked perfectly well with the restructure.

Deb’s on holidays in regards to both TV and Radio roles. Her first “long” break over Christmas/NY’s in a few years AFAIK.

We now have to put up with Joe Hildebrand and possibly Peta Credlin also for the next month or so. Limited 2GB listening for me now.

Her presenting skills are a lot better than Andrew Bolt’s. He literally can put you to sleep and speaks so slow sometimes.

Amanda Vanstone lol might as well have John Hewson and Turnbull on there as well. Vanstone aint no conservative.

Macca lol he has a hard hitting show doesn’t he.

Is that all you can come up with from entire overbloated ABC empire?
