Her cadence is terrible on her Sky programme, but I’m convinced it’s a bit out on, like Bolt’s. It’s as if there’s some type of appeal to sounding like that.

It’s not my interest, but it’s likely who Nine is chasing.
Would have to be sub-leasing, MRN didn’t buy a share like other licensees in Sydney, they lease it and are the only commercial broadcaster to do so last I checked those ACCC documents. Is that still the case? Has Nine bought into the multiplex?

@thesub1, Braybrook is now at SEN, EP of Pat Welsh & Ian Healy’s 2 hour breakfast show on the 500 watt HPON, SEN Track.
No comment has been made of relief announcers and production teams.
Perhaps Nine Radio may draw on TV news staff or ‘celeb’ guests to fill in. Remember Jim Soorley’s few weeks on air? Perhaps Craig Emerson might fill in?
Indeed, he’s too good to lose at his age. Heidi would be a great replacement, yet who do you find as equally talented to take over her role?

So Tim Bailey is 2GBs new weather man on both Ben Fordham and Jim Wilson’s radio show. Good luck with that he really isn’t credentialed other reading out the BoM copy.

Not doing Ray’s show? That’s a little odd.
Could be have also been picked up as a backup weatherman for TCN news? As annoying and unfunny as he is, he does have name recognition.
Wonder if he’ll fill in for Tim Davies on Today in the summer then.
Nine seems to be looking for ways to turn their core audience off that station. Lots of long time listeners have been put off by the changes to 2GB since the Nine takeover with some really savage comments about Fordham, Wilson and Knight following articles in the past few days. It’ll be interesting to see if radio ratings results reflect listener discontent. when they’re released.

That’s not a bad thing considering the type of people that listened to the extreme right wing radio. Maybe the softening tone will be a better audience profile for advertisers. The people that make those hate filled comments are the same type on the Australian website dancing on the grave of and celebrating the death of RGB. Just awful humans to be saying such things. They never deviate from their ideology even in tragedy.

You’ve hit the nail on the head about why Nine have changed 2GB in the way they have. They’re gambling that the backlash they’re getting from their ‘traditional’ listeners is outweighed by the station being a more attractive proposition for advertisers

I’m honestly surprised the Nine Entertainment Company have welcomed Tim Bailey into their family at all, given some of the less than flattering stuff he’s said on Twitter about Nine (especially in relation to their Sydney news service) in the past!

Who are the actual meteorologists who present the weather?
I assume that everyone on the ABC is qualified and there is an older guy on Seven in Sydney who seems to know what he is talking about.
Am I right in suggesting that all the other “weather presenters” are just people with a pulse who can read? It also seems that the females must look good in high heals and the men must have only one voice level which is “shout”
And the need for high heels is bizarre as they are not standing next to anyone.

Jones leaving GB is like when Kyle left 2Day. Hadley is like Hamish & Andy. Strong, but not strong enough to hold their own audience.
2GB seems to be doing what 2Day did back then. That is, hold on to their audience by trying to sound the same as much as possible.
It won’t work.
They need to end the Jones sound, Jones opinion and Jones era. Go for something new & fresh. Start working on a new generation of listeners.
