Nine Radio (Talk)

The Macquarie Media Syndication website has a schedule for the election coverage on Saturday night, 6:00pm to Midnight. But there are no details as to who the hosts are.

Neil Mitchell may be involved in the coverage?

Now we’re seeing advantages of the UE/GB partnership.

My guess is NRL would rate higher than election coverage anyway.

Hopefully a sign of things to come which will give choice to listeners of talkback in Sydney.

Steve Price has stated on his show during the week he is hosting it with someone else who I can’t recall now!

In an interview with Radioinfo, Janet Cameron says that she has not talked to Macquarie about buying 2CH, and says her children aren’t interested in it.

Yeah that’s confirmed now GB to take the NRL, UE the Election coverage. No Saturday Night Live on UE is listed on the Program Changes page on the Macquaire Media Syndication website.

Was this promoted on 2GB? Sounds like something that should be cross-promoted.

John Stanley and Steve Price hosting the Macquarie coverage on UE.

Just announced on the CCT that GB will simulcast the coverage after the rugby league until midnight.

Neil Mitchell providing election updates on 3AW between AFL matches and during half time of Carlton v Collingwood. He will have a wrap after that match.

2GB, 2UE and NTS all now broadcasting the election coverage.

3AW will have one of its longest single day overseas broadcasts tomorrow (Friday) with breakfast, afternoon and drive all coming live from Queenstown, New Zealand.

Queensland or Queenstown?

Sorry it’s Queenstown. The presenters will be going skiing.

At the expense of New Zealand Tourism no doubt

Small technical glitches all afternoon at 2GB culminating with Ross Greenwood broadcasting via mobile phone at the moment with multiple drop outs.

LOL, reminds me of the time that the Continuous Call Team had to call part of a rugby league test match (either last year or the year before…I think) on mobile phones because they lost their link or something!

2UE was also cutting out this morning.

It’s cheap to do a OB from there, reason Optus D1 and D2 has a NZ footprint.

It’s even cheaper to do it using IP codecs via the internet.
