Nine Radio (Talk)

Let’s not forget he got himself into the sh*t only to get himself out of it.

Was it all planned to win over Melbourne staff?

Now let the real games (I mean “challenges”) begin.

Macquarie Media’s National Executive Producer, Michael Thompson, will leave the company this Friday.

He was the brains behind Talking Lifestyle.

In cahoots with Clinton Maynard

What a raging success, still, much better than the embarrassing MSR.

Interesting that he’s heading off, must have his reasons.

Tom Malone… Beers remains… now Greg Byrnes…

Could Nine be the change that 2UE/3AW needs?

…next is Steve Blanda to read the breakfast news?

Nine’s strategy is clear, hire those familiar with the business who left due to poor decision making by the 2007 - 15 Fairfax management or MRN until 2019.

The news stories are too brief at times with Macquarie, they just had one sentence, I am paraphrasing, “parents are warned that some Christmas gifts have been hacked”. No detail at all what the gifts are.

Michael Smith has published what he claims is this internal 2GB email. If the email is true you would have to wonder how long Alan Jones will be staying at 2GB as it makes it appear that he is not wanted.

The formatting in the email is wrong, so I’m a bit sceptical of its authenticity.

Smith is a nutcase so I don’t know if I’d trust it but even if true it doesn’t suggest anything out of the ordinary in trying to resecure advertisers during a summer quiet period

At least the City of Sydney travel documents looked authentic, that’s a Photoshop joke.

Looks legit to me, someone’s taken a screenshot from a phone and cropped it for use on twitter.

Regardless, the only positive I got from this is John Stanley doing 2GB Breakfast.

Brilliant!

Sure is. He peddles some wild conspiracy theories. He’s not even a journalist and rubs some hackneyed news website of far right extremism and loony shit.

No mention of fill-in presenters for 3AW breakfast either. I assume it will again be Kate Stevenson and Stephen Quartermain?

Lots of 9News promos running on 3AW during ad breaks. Wonder if they will drop the 7news “coming up tonight” inserts within Drive

I’m wondering how long the Jane Bunn weather segments will continue on Breakfast.

If 7 are paying for those spots, it wouldn’t make much sense to throw away revenue to promote your own network on a station that you now own?
