MRN’s PR or legal more like it.
Yes, ATN is still churning and burning staff like no tomorrow.
The far cheaper individual music licences in Bris and Melb far more successful and far less cost than the MSR embarrassment.

Deb Knight is filling in for Steve Price this afternoon on 2GB.
Time for the Four MRN Talk Stations To Have Brand New Station Logos, They have’nt Been Updated since Nine Bought Out Fairfax.
If they didn’t change them for the Macquarie/Fairfax merger, I somehow doubt they will now.
Although I personally think the stations could all do with a branding repositioning with new station IDs and News/Sport/Traffic/Weather Beds - perhaps with a five note jingle for 3AW and a three note one for the others.
Agree. I think common audio across the network is a no brainer. It makes it easier for network-wide production and also cheaper.
Super Network have been doing it for years (with the same AM news intro and weather beds for much if not all of the network). Makes sense.
May as well rename it all GB Radio or something as Brisbane and Sydney are basically simulcasts and god knows what their plans for 3AW are.
He has a sidekick.
Gone but not forgotten, by some at least.
Clinton Maynard has filled in overnights the last few months. It wouldn’t surprise me his work will increase at 2GB and decrease at MSR
How about that photo? Another big night on turps? He does look dishevelled, is that his usual look?
He’s on radio!
Surely a contender for next Full Monty on Seven.
Could 3aw.com.au play Music and Memories when The Main 693AM And DAB+ is Broadcasting AFL As an Alternative Program???
What do they currently do online during an AFL match?
a loop saying that 3AW is broadcasting live AFL, and to listen to it go to the AFL website/app.
Thing is they still want people listening to AW and their advertisers via the AFL app so why would they offer an alternative?
I noticed John Stanley was presenting the 2GB afternoon show on Friday while flicking through the station list and wondered why Karl wasn’t on air filling in for Price. It turns out the audience didn’t like Karl’s schoolboy humour and style and don’t appreciate “9GB” being turned into a promotional vehicle for Nine’s talent and product. Annette Sharp savages him and Nine management in her “Sunday Telegraph” column today. 2GB listeners were revolting on the 2GB Facebook page but I think the comments have been removed.
Triple M replaces AFL coverage with music on their stream (previously they aired highlights of their shows)
