Macquarie Media needs a management shakeup. The implication here is that Ashley Smith was denied work experience because of her fatherās previous work at 2GB.

Has anyone bothered to listen to Price on arvos yet? Clearly a Smith backer is working in the studio, 2 calls were put through Thursday to air when the caller was talking to someone else and then Friday when the caller asked who he was talking to on air. Price failed before on daytime in Sydney and clearly someone wants that to happen again. John Stanley would be ten times better and is ten times a better bloke too.

I noticed when Stanley was filling-in at 8pm, they change the intro theme to his old 2UE theme from the 90s, so that was probably a sign they were going to give him the 8pm shift.

A waste of talent.
Add John Stanley to a long list of ex-2UE talent that are wasted at MML, along with Clinton Maynard.
Just resurrect 2UE (or some other softer talkback station on 954AM) and have Murray Olds, Murray Wilton, Tim Webster, Stuart Bocking, Clive Robertson, Jim Ball, Mike Jeffries and Gary Linnel to name a few.
Really sad considering these announcers are all in their element! Theyāre not as ancient as Laws. They can still be current and address the hot topics and all have a good following.
Iāve said it beforeā¦ come on Bill [Caralis], open up your cheque book! Iām sure some of them are going cheap too.

As youād know, this happens a fair bit. Wonāt be long before theyāre given the broom, Price will build his own team, heās used to that.
They wouldnāt be alone, thatās for sure.
But what does the tick really earn you? Swathes of by line journos with verification and very little content or followers to show for it.
