Was that the discussion with John Laws?
You need to get a grip. What he said was not appalling in the slightest. And it was not bigoted.
The one about the pillow biters?
Both what Laws and Price was proved to be bigoted! They are both disgusting individuals.
Price referred to two gay guys as âgrubbyâ, âpoofsâ and as âpillow bitersâ. He questioned why a âcouple of pillow biters need to be appearing on prime time TVâ.
Let me put my case forward. Do you think that Steve Price would refer to any of his 2GB colleagues as âpoofsâ or âpillow bitersâ on air today?
Would love to hear it. It would be Priceâs last day at 2GB.
Price = Bigot. An entertaining bigot but a bigot nonetheless.
Short answer: no. Unfortunately, casual homophobia was probably more acceptable (albeit slowly on the wane) in the Australia of the Early/Mid 2000s.
Any more posting shenanigans in this thread and youâll be penalty boxed
Agree @Sully, far less objectionable content on 3AW.
Good to see the moderators do view these pages when they digress from the title content, as much of it was a Monday morning schadenfreude side show, thanks @bacco007
I hadnât seen this thread in a week and that was the first comment I saw, canât imagine the comments from today if I scroll up LOL
A good use of the 2GB microphone.

Has the Australian Traffic Network (ATN) who provide traffic reports to TV and radio, undergone another management change? Or perhaps just mass hiring.
If you take a look at their website (under âreportersâ theyâve done new profiles and Victoria has gone from the past year or two having like 4 or 5 (after a number of long-time ones left), so suddenly having more than 10!? New South Wales has done the opposite, now down to about 5 (despite the company being based there and having a larger regional station presence - perhaps they had more interest in Melbourne or have changed set-up).
Where the reporters are based seems to almost irrelevant. Melbourne based traffic reporters have appeared Sydney radio stations for many years.
Would MacQuarie Revive their 50+ Music Station Magic and put it on Digital Radio?
I seem to recall maybe 3 or 4 years ago that there was a pretty high staff churn rate there - if this is still the case it isnât a surprise that New South Wales is down on numbers
They would have done it by now if they wanted to do that
Same in Melbourne, numerous Sydney reporters have been beamed down too, more so the regional stations and Tasmania and Darwin (which ATN Melbourne have always covered too).
One difference to my comment is, Caroline Ferguson (been 3AWâs afternoon traffic guru for about 20 years), is the only long-serving one left. Whereas ATN Sydney still have 3 or 4 veterans left if appears.
Two people missing from the NSW list is Ian Mc Crae and Ally Redondo, that I can recall anyway.
Seem to have an array of casuals Steve Carline (ex 2WS) and Peter Brennan (ex 2UE) so my guess the rogues gallery consists of just a few
