That was a fantastic extended promo for the Olympics. I assume it was the first time it has aired?
Not so keen on the big Olympics watermark at the corner of the Carols by Candlelight telecast.

Love the new promo; especially the flat Nine logo transition to the Olympics rings.
The ender, that’s a big Paris logo, not impressed on what I saw. Should have kept the original Olympic rings. But love the reflection on the green and gold on the right side.
But this is it, the road to the Paris Olympics on Nine officially begins. And for the next 3 summers.
And we cannot wait to see for the new promos that might have a flat logo/ with rings too during Candle By Candlelight tonight.

Let’s not forget, Nine’s first games commence 19 Jan 2024 with the Gangwon 2024 Winter YOG albeit will probably be fully on 9Now

This has always been my problem with the flat logo - it looks terrible on specific backgrounds and I’ve seen it like this on a few promos.
MAFS is a perfect example, just blends too easily into the background.

Nice flat logo, I expected a Olympic rings to the touch
Might be alone on this but didn’t think the new Olympics promo was that great or special. It was essentially another variation of past Nine Olympic promos which centered around athletes competing in landmarks either in Australia or the host country/city.

Agreed. Flat with no definition it gets lost. It’s almost as though they need to have a edge gradient around it to make it stand out…

The font is the official Paris 2024 font

I wouldn’t be using it apart from with the Olympic logo.
9’s flat logo looked marginally better in blue on the tennis promo, but still looks like a kid has cut it out with a stanley knife or pair of scissors.
