Nine just aired a full blown lineup in Melbourne! Same style as they previously were before they were removed. Please be permanent!

Hopefully they return on a permanent basis! It’s the first new one in over four years, if i’m not mistaken.

Couldn’t tell you an exact date, but the last time Nine aired a Lineup would’ve been around Late November 2017.

I’m 100% sure they were still running while season 1 of “Family Food Fight” was on-air, but were withdrawn before Christmas.

It could be for Parental Guidance, because the promos for the show have used a yellow & black colour scheme.

To be honest though, I was thinking it might actually be themed for the Cleo special. It’s very glittery and bright, so i’m guessing they may have chosen that background so that it would match the mood of finding Cleo alive? Who knows really, maybe it’s simply a generic stock image they just happened to come across and we’re reading too much into it. :stuck_out_tongue:

You’re probably right, but then again, they never aired a lineup for the Bert Newton special and their lineup for that night was changed at relatively short notice.

Hopefully these make a return. I know people mostly look at EPG these days, but I do wonder if these played it might entice people to stay around later and watch programs that follow?

Do Go and Gem still run them?

Overall it’s just nice to see some branding back on TV aside from promos. I feel broadcast TV lost its soul when they stopped Idents and Lineups.

Totally agree, I think they help build brand identity much more effectively than watermarks, as they are much more positively engaging, when watermarks just irritate everyone.

I was watching 9hd perth last night when during the news to my surprise I saw they aired program line up graphics which I thought networks didn’t do any more, does gwn7 still do lign up graphics on air ?
