What’s going on with Closed Captions on Nine this afternoon?

If they were transmitted like that, i.e no reception errors, then you could complain to Nine. That’s not readable or comphrensible, two of the standards defined in the Broadcast Standards Act for closed captions.

Is that on just Nine or the suite of multis as well?

I only noticed it because I saw it at the gym. They have closed captions rurned on for all eight channels at the front. They only have 9. Others are on 7, 10, ABC, SBS, ABC news, SBS Viceland, 10 Comedy.
The problem must have been fixed. I didn’t notice any errors today.

Genuine question:
So you know how the Multi’s have an animation when they return from break
How on earth are the PRG / Bug gonna look with it being 2D

9Go! Is tricky because of how the letters twirl when the animation happens..
9Rush is the pain considering the letters legit glide in after the 9 Dots twirl in.
Who knows.. this could be why we’re stuck on 2D Main & 3D Multis

There’s a difference between the glossy look that the current logos use, and the physical difference between 2D and 3D.
The Seven logo is flat but IIRC has been rendered in three dimensions in the past for promos and idents. 10’s big 2018 relaunch was a flat logo but has also used 3D elements in its promos when playing with the logo’s form.
The logo animation can still make use of three dimensions, even if the ultimate look of the logo is flat.

A few seconds of black screen after the end of ACA until Travel Guides faded in late.
