Looks to be official that the days of full package relaunches are gone, and that any actual changes will be gradual, subtle, and only to specific elements at a time.
While unfortunate, it’s the reality of the changing face of media
An ident would be nice once in a while to represent the period of branding.
Well at this point most brands in linear television are synonymous with the network and how it works.
I can’t imagine Nine without the blocks, I’ve grown up with that as the look.
That’s my two cents on why anyway.
2000s was peak when it came to relaunches especially back when WIN, STW , NWS and NBN did their own spins , nowadays it’s just a mix of what comes up that night.
I always thought lineups are a nice way to start a night of viewing
like a menu before your dinner
unironically, 5:55pm should have a startup sequence. ‘Tonight’s eating on the screens of 7’.
Sorry - viewing, not eating.
Is this legit ??
Is this in place of traffic? what normally airs here?
Seems like NTN produced, maybe they had some make good ads to deliver? So they make a whats on segment to catch up? Idk
Similar shown during the 6pm news including car sponsorship message in Sydney and Melbourne.
Melb
when super placement is actually decent compared to the news itself
Sounds like Nine modified the Uber campaign from the AO and are now doubling NTN as an advertisement space.
Clearly it must’ve worked then?
Back in Jan there was a bit of chatter about this campaign, also for the wrong reasons. There was an article about it, with many viewers annoyed it turned out not to be a real report, once Andy Murray running away appeared.
Another promo with the incorrect start time. Last week it was Footy Classified promoted in Melbourne for 9pm.
This from last week with actual start time of 8:45pm
Lineups return to Nine’s look this afternoon.
Also spotted a cheeky sponsor billboard with the 2D logo - are they new or have they been around for a bit?
Hopefully the sponsor boards follow suit soon
Nice pickup, proof that it’s not quite only in production when it’s same schedule nationwide.
