Nine Olympic Coverage

It’s 2024. Everyone has a remote control. Go up a channel or two and find the Olympics! lol. People get so worked up on social media these days.

There were none in 2021 due to COVID restrictions

There was a smaller scale one in Brisbane.

That’s worse than the US ranking by total medals. Should have included St Lucia though.

And surely, the host cities elect to do them on weekends and NOT on weekdays when kids are at school and most adults are at work.

I love Media Spy - let’s not make an argument using logic and reason, but let’s instead pile on because some Herald Sun writer wrote a tweet. Incredible.

It wasn’t.

Waterpolo was a highlight last night

Also a number of medal ceremonies were shown; Saw a shared screen ad. Mostly athletics, some boxing. Eddie ended the night with a cross to Nine News before Today in Paris started.

It’s almost as if people don’t have remotes or that EPG’s don’t exist.

Main “channels” will be nonexistent in the next 10-15 years anyway. Everything will be on demand.

How will those “main channel” enthusiasts survive?

Looks like +600,000 people found 9Go! on their remotes last night to continue watching the Olympics. NRL was second highest for the year.

I think the networks will most likely have one channel going and their multichannels will be phased out for streaming options.

By watching the main channels online

Todd Woodbridge mentioned that from tomorrow onwards Alex Cullen will present the daily highlights. Todd Woodbridge will fly back to Melbourne where he will do some episodes of Tipping Point Australia.

Interesting. You’d think TP could wait a few more days. Alex has an actual live program he’s a presenter of that should be back in Sydney for on Monday.

So I am guessing this means he isn’t commentating the closing ceremony then
