Channel change alert (which still looks awful IMO on a zoomed-out side-screen vertical graphic) at 9pm edt just then on Channel 9, had NT written as “Northern Territory” and it looked too long in the sentence and convoluted!

They have nailed the style for the AO with, to use the same example: “NT viewers - To continue watching / Switch now to…”.
Now they are heading for the longest sentence possible, not only writing out state’s full name but also cram in “the Winter Olympics”.
SA viewers would like to share the same observation.

Since when do Nine care about NT viewers that much to list them in channel changes?
Impressed with this downhill coverage. No ads so far in the first half hour. Matt Hill doing a great job. You can tell they’re not there as they don’t really know what’s going on apart from what can be seen on screen.

Very impressed with that. No ad-breaks, not even a pushback. They just took one now after its conclusion.
Off to curling next.
I’m sure it’s great coverage in 4K but I just won’t find myself watching it enough outside of the weekends so I won’t be paying extra for the package.

After the first 16 skiers they took the ad. There’s 20 more skiers to come.
There’s also Aussies in action at 11pm aedt.
If only Ally would know the time zones. She was saying aest for the final of the Big Air before so she has NFI.

It’s been great, fun TV as soon as it came on. A contrast in comparison to the freeski quals they had on before it. Loved the POV starter they had going down with the camera first.

I thought NT took the QLD feed and inserted ad breaks so they had no point to that as they were ‘QLD’ viewers
The only mutiview feature to watch the Winter Olympics would be on Peacock (over in the U.S.)
Smallest timezone difference would explain it.

They keep showing that Leila McKinnon pre-record, think I’ve seen it 5 times now in 3 days, no joke and her attempt at Italian didn’t go down well with some online.
West Aussies will be seeing a lot of her anchoring with their time zone, even 3am edt only = midnight there and on a weekend might have some staying until 1am wst (= 4am edt!)
Yep I thought about it but couldn’t justify the price for two weeks of an Olympics that I won’t be watching much of due to the timezone difference.
I do like sports like Curling and Luge that typically don’t get played much on TV but I’ll survive.

Leila is an awful host of live sports coverage, should be someone like Todd or even Sylvia in that late night slot
