Mark Burrows was briefly at the desk on Sydney’s afternoon news. If they want to use Lizzie as the main fill in presenter for Davina instead of Mark, why not have Lizzie present Mondays

Sorry for a late reply and not trying to sound pessimistic but I’ve just noticed that there’s been quite an exodus of presenters from Nine News Perth in recent years.
Since 2016 they’ve lost Liam Bartlett, Shaun MacManus, Nathan Currie, Lee Steele, Tim and Emmy, Alice Murray and now (as it appears) Louise Momber. Yes they still have Thommo, Tracy, Michael G and Jerrie Demasi but they definitely could do with a big and familiar name to join their team. Monika would fit the bill perfectly.

Both Mark & Lizzie are reporters and presenters so I guess they take turns… Mark needs to be in studio at 8.30am all the way until 5pm, so I guess they rotate roles

Maybe Lizzie has Monday’s off hence Mark does Monday’s?
Although that could easily be fixed by re-jigging the roster.

Was reported for 9 Western Victoria then joined 9 News Melbourne in August; now off to Adelaide.

I know you’re responding to a post but are we really now posting that presenters are presenting the bulletins they normally do?

This may sound extreme but would it be a good idea to create separate threads for who is presenting so and so?
And then keep the original thread for general presenters and reporters discussion which doesn’t include the so and so is presenting this bulletin?
Or what about one thread for all? One thread just for posts regarding fill in presenters. That way all of the threads aren’t being flooded by these posts.
It has been discussed/suggested in staff areas rather recently. And the situation is always under review.

From region reporter to metro shit-kicker to metro reporter full-time reporter is not a demotion.
I think this is a big part of 9s weakness in SA. It’s all these young reporters from interstate who say Plant and Dance like a convict.
