True but there’s a difference between being there and ready just in case to the over dramatic nonsense they are producing right now. They don’t need to be on air now they could just be there waiting.

Paul Murphy back reading in Darwin this week, after Josh filled in last week.
Strange for the anchor to take a week so close to Christmas then come back.
Meanwhile don’t think it’s been mentioned, but in Adelaide Will is now on weekdays, with Alice and Ben Avery into #2 and #3 position.
Kinda hope they give Ollie Hagie the political reporter a go at anchoring, I think he’d be better at that than he is as a reporter. Kelly Hughs is another one, I think they’d both be better than Alice and Ben (and Will).

I wouldn’t mind them giving Jessica Braithwaite a go either. She is a great weather presenter and could go well on news too.

She has in the past done some afternoon bulletins, though I am not always keen on the idea of the weather presenter being the default news-back-up. Seven does it alot and I dislike it.

Are you referring to Alice Monfries? She’s a great presenter, she has presented Nine News Late during COVID and a few other national bulletins.

Beth Excell would be a better choice before Hughes and Haig IMO.
Are you perhaps referring to Brenton and Kate? Watching Nine News at the moment and Will is presenting at 6pm.
He’s only presenting weekdays while Brenton and Kate are on holidays
