I think they will. Get viewers accustomed to the new anchors over Summer. Clearly seen with Hitch starting earlier than we expected.

Carrie-Anne Greenbank will be back in Melbourne next year so she’s probably a natural choice for the afternoon news along with Dougal who’ll probably do Mon-Wed along with 5pm news on the weekend.

I don’t see why Peter Hitchener can’t present the 5:00pm news as well. I must admit it does feel quite unusual that Pete is now on weekends and no longer is with Tony Jones and Livinia Nixon and will take some time to get used to it.

Here’s why I’m a loyal Nine News viewer. On Thursday night there was a funny banter on Nine News between Alicia Loxley and Tony Jones before sport and after sport with Livinia Nixon. If Peter Hitchener was still presenting Monday-Thursday he would’ve been in uncontrollable laughter before sport!

The presenters have great chemistry and banter with each other. Even though Peter Hitchener may be on weekends now Alicia Loxley is a great presenter with great chemistry with Tony Jones and Livinia Nixon.

Sunday (10.12.2023): Aislin Kriukelis is presenting in Brisbane.
They should be relieving her of her Today responsibilities so that she can cover 6pm on both days (if that’s the issue).

From what I’ve seen, I thought Aislin held her ground really well given the news in QLD today.
