Although it’s slightly disappointing that Cam most likely won’t be on board for Peter Overton’s return to Nine News Sydney for 2018, after presenting Sydney Sport for most of the Christmas/New Year period he has earned a break. 
Both that and we’ll get to see a bit more of Erin Molan’s presenting before she goes on maternity leave! 
I wonder when the campaign for Perth’s new presenter/s will begin. Must be soon.
Probably need to announce who they are first.

Central Queensland’s senior reporter Alexandra Cullen filed a Brisbane based report on the Queensland edition tonight. Her Twitter bio lists her as a CQ reporter still and she was filing reports locally last night. I wonder if she has made the move south or it was just a once off.

She’s only about 4 months along isn’t she? She could stay on air for another 4 months if not more.
I finally saw the Adelaide version of the We Are The One promo or whatever it is, Kate is in it solo, no Brenton. Bit weird isn’t it to have feature half your team? She’ll be off on leave for much of this year too so quite an off thing to do.
Probably just for the weekend. Queensland has been giving a lot of different reporters and producers a go on air these past few weeks. Some have been great … others I’m not so sure

A break from the recent tradition of Peter Overton returning on the 3rd Sunday of January after New Year’s Day…although maybe that’s because Pete started his current break a week earlier than usual with the final bulletin for 2017 being on November 30.
As for the discussion in other threads about Tom Steinfort and Peter Stefanovic swapping roles (Tom going to 60 Minutes, Peter Stefanovic returning to Weekend Today), presumably we’ll see Karl’s older brother file the Sydney news reports in 2018 that Tom would’ve done in the recent past?
Older brother? Peter? Isn’t he younger than Karl?
