Nine News Presenters and Reporters (2015-Sept 2020)

I’ve seen a lot of Allison’s stories on 60 Minutes over the years and have always thought she was an excellent reporter for the program.

I’m really glad She’s been promoted to a more Presenting role as much as i love her reporting skills her presenting is also flawless.

Any sign of Alli yet on updates? Can’t put myself through watching the boring Cricket to see her!

Bit early to say that isn’t it?

Tonight could be a random one-off (though I hope it isn’t).

Don’t know why they tweeted this despite the errors.

Confirmation Allison is presenting however Twitter saying it’s her doing the updates. It’s Amelia Adams.

2nd Update

I have been enjoying watching Allison present the Sydney 6pm news tonight.

Assuming she stays with the News division, I think she could usurp Deb Knight as the #2 presenter (now that Georgie has gone to “Today”) she seems to have a bit more personality about her than Deb.

I’ve found Allison’s reading kind of similar to Georgie’s in some ways… but I agree with you way more personality.

I have to agree. Whilst Alli is excellent at 60 Minutes, I find she really shines at live television. News, as opposed to 60 Minutes story telling style, seems to be her major strength. A very warm welcome back to the news department.

It was great to have Alicia on weeknights where she belongs when Hitch is on holidays.
Brett McLeod will be presenting in Melbourne again this weekend.

Peter Hitchener and Livinia Nixon returning for 2018 on Monday.

2018 marks Peter Hitchener’s 20th consecutive year reading Nine News Melbourne on weeknights and sometime in the next year or two (presuming that he stays on long enough to break the record of course), he’ll become Australia’s longest running TV newsreader of all time!

I’m sure Melbourne viewers will be quite happy to hear that!

Meanwhile here in Sydney, I’d probably expect Peter Overton to return on January 21 knowing how he usually returns for the year on the 3rd Sunday after New Year’s Day.
