sounds like an attempted rip off from 7 News in Miami. That OTT intro, but it suddenly reverts back to the traditional style which is very off-putting.

[/quote] If I didnât read your post first, I would have thought that the countdown was some pop show or something, anything from a news bulletin. It is a shame that the opener is the only thing that was changed on the bulletin, not the backdrop, not the graphics, not the transitions. Funny how this opener focuses on a globe in the opener yet has dots on the plasma while other Nine News bulletins focus on dots but have globes.

[/quote] I doubt the entire opener would be implemented in a new look, possibly elements. However, Nine News Now has always been different from the Morning and Afternoon News so it could mean nothing.

I wouldâve thought that the Opening Titlecard was somewhat based on the current Nine News Now plasma backdrop which launched about 2-3 months ago, but maybe thatâs just meâŚ
The weirdest thing about that titlecard (countdown aside): Australia seems to be in the Northern Hemisphere now.

[/quote] Yeah it sort of is. This is what I would do, along with replace the tranisitions and modify the graphics to look different to 9 News:
Gosh that looks really tacky, and they havenât mixed that intro audio very well, itâs like they tacked on something they found on you tube.

Kerrie Yaxley is presenting this Wednesday edition of Nine News Now.
Nine News Now updated their plasma backdrop today along with some specialised ones. Here are some SD caps of Kerrie presenting. Obviously for the vault, HD and Nine Network caps would be greatly appreciated

I have watched Kerrie reading a bulletin once before and she didnât do to well,but of course when you donât present often thatâs to be expected.

[/quote] She wasnât too bad and in fact reminded me of Julie Snook when she began reading the early news in 2014. My advice for Kerrie is she should slow her pace down and pause whilst also emphasising words. I think Kerrie has great potential, on of my favourite national reporters, and with due practice I am sure she will be fine.

Thatâs the problem more experience is needed,you can only show improvement if you are in the role more often .l think she occasionally presented Early News bulletin in 2014,and maybe a couple of times in 2015.

It surprises me that Nine are putting effort into a refresh of 9News Now since the new streaming TV service will be called 9Now. I wouldâve thought that Nine would want to differentiate the two, and Iâve always thought there would be a more fitting name than âNowâ to describe the style of the âbulletinâ. Guess they just donât want to make any huge changes.

[/quote] And see that is what the Early News is designed for, to make reporters more comfortable or try new presenters. And Kerry did the Early News too last Friday.

Even though Studio 3 got a new set, Nine News Now is still being presented from Studio 23.

My god that 9 News Now package is awful, there is far too much going on in that image.
