Nine News Local

And the problem is?

That’s what happens when there’s too much on the Rundown.

That’s a lot of what Media Spy is about - there is a lot of speculation and guesses, some are right, some are wrong. It is up to individuals to choose what information they want to believe and certainly none of it should be taken as gospel. There’s a lot of people here who do know a lot of the inner workings of various places and departments but a lot who are just general enthusiasts with no more knowledge available to them than the general public.

With this specific circumstance, there was a lot of reasons that could have pointed to the end of the bulletins but fortunately it hasn’t. It’s good they have been able to resume but it was always just a lot of speculation with never any confirmations that it had been axed.

I really hope you haven’t been waiting for the bulletins to resume just to criticise them? That would be a pretty disappointing thing to do. As has been pointed out, these bulletins are above what needs to be offered to the regions and will be gone in only 2 months with no doubt a pretty poor replacement (I mean for the SC10 stations, while WIN isn’t the greatest thing it’s still not too bad in the grand scheme of things)

No I haven’t. I don’t watch them either

As opposed to saying “hello”?

I personally would have appreciated a “see all you bitches tomorrow night…” with some form of a gang hand signal - maybe they could do that as a final sign off when the bulletins end and all the old people will think it got axed because of that.

Why are you always so critical of Nine News Local?

Because it sucks

Great. No need to bang on about it like a broken record though, especially when your dislike of it means that you’re nitpicking at the slightest of issues.

A measured, mature response.

Yeah well, not every news bulletin needs to be the quality of NBC Nightly News. Nine News Local has given people for the past few years choice especially with WIN scaling down its resources in the past few years. People should be greatful about that choice in the media, especially in the more regional areas. From what I have seen NNL is a pretty decent newscast and your complaints of issues are, no offense nitpicky and minor.

So you don’t watch the bulletins but you sit on here and hang shit on them?

Glad you feel that way - why don’t you just stop watching if you’re gonna complain about every single thing? It’s getting very repetitive.

Lol, I appreciate Jason believing me - and on these sort of things, I can confidently say I have solid sources - but there are other posters like @Read_It_First & news outlets that have knowledge about these topics too!

Yeah I don’t watch it. I did watch it when it first debuted till December where I decided to stop watching them as most of the time none of the stories (even stories in my region) didn’t interest me. I always turn the tv on before 6:00 to watch the Melbourne bulletin and I see the weather segment, which Gavin does seem to do a bit better at now.

Queensland bulletin. Roughly one cap per story - so a large number for a 30 minute bulletin.

Are you going to use Jason’s quote in a promo? It’s high praise.
