I don’t think Seven is able to do that at this time. If TT was still in Adelaide and Perth then there might have been a chance to implement that but the program’s been scrapped.
its a cost thing. they would never go to producing seperate bulletins for each market. At the moment they have 16 staff covering the sth mart of the state of NSW, if they were to have a 30 min news for each market they couldnt be live would need at least 32 staff on the road (meaning 4 journos and 4 camera operators) then if they wanted each service to be LIVE then they would need 4 studios… WIN dont have LIVE news, i dont know their staffing numbers and they dont have (as well as prime) a news in each market so i think you will find its a $$ reason
WIN holds about 3-4 journalists and up to 3 cameramen in each newsroom - 7 Regional QLD is about the same numbers. Basically similar figures to the previous Nine News Regional structure.
From my understanding each Nine Regional newsroom now has 1 less journo than before.
Nine News Regional Victoria is shitter than ever, only one or two stories for my region and some stories like the high risk coronavirus locations in Shepparton and a man getting swooped by a magpie at a mall in Gippsland and ending up with an injured eye are then shown on Nine News Melbourne. Why are Nine so stupid when it comes to Regional news?
mate if you don’t like, just don’t watch. they don’t look at this page and say hey we better fix it. they just wont do it. sorry i share your frustration but getting on here wont change it
