That’s very good to hear, he does move his head a lot from a couple of NNL bulletins I’ve seen
Different late news update just aired now. Peter Overton in front of the left hand side video wall with a big Nine News logo on it.
Looked great.
Don’t think I’ve seen one like this before.
Fantastic. Great job as usual @Abesty
I know why it happens, but I wish they’d use 60 Minutes and 9’s Late News in the supers.
“9 News”
“Nine News Late”
“Nine’s Late News”
Way to build a consistent brand
Nice to see them cross to all cities. A true reflections of a real national bulletin.
Would love to see this broadcast get a dedicated name and brand:
I can’t really think of better than NIGHTLINE
Like the good old days!
The Nightline name should only come back if it has a point of difference to a normal bulletin. The current format is pretty standard it doesn’t really warrant its own sub-brand.
NIGHTLINE was a very standard bulletin from memory?
It had an expanded finance segment and occasionally had reports from ACA, 60 Minutes (sometimes under the brand ‘Nightline Extra’)
Looking at the IP Australia website, Nine still owns the trade mark for Nightline, having renewed it in 2017.
Is there a high profile personality in the 9 News division who could carry this bulletin under their name?
I love “The News with Shepard Smith”: for example.
There is something really clean and simple and definitive about “The News”
It also means it could be bumped up earlier to 9pm or 830pm if news events warrant (like on Sundays) and it has a very premium sound to it.
There’s news. And then there’s “The News”, every night on Nine
Just can’t think of a big ñame like Usher or mel Doyle who nine has who could host it
That is debatable. To your ears it might sound premium, to mine it sounds cheap and generic.
Señor Overton probably too busy.
Nine News at Night.
Of course! Everything is debatable it’s MS?
What would be a premium sounding news brand to you?
