I don’t really think straight news bulletins need names on non-news channel. Nine News is the brand. Add ‘Early’, ‘Late’ if you want.
Wait, my suggestion was generic, and your suggestion is to add “late” Lol!
Which explains why networks find themselves in great debt. Why do they continue to trademark something that they haven’t used in years? It’s like all the money they waste keeping the rights to TV shows which they have no intention of producing but don’t want rival networks to do so.
‘The News’ on a 24 hour network kinda works because it’s trying to make an appointment viewing on a rolling channel. It’s standing out from the panel or commentary shows.
Calling a bulletin ‘The News’ on a FTA channel would make it disappear into the abyss, given most viewers call any bulletin ‘The news’ anyway.
Well, we disagree
LOL, nothing can be debated on this forum, you get shutdown by the trigger happy admin if you got an opposing view. So just enjoy each other’s back patting and convince yourselves that you’re really having discourse let alone discussions in this forum.

“And we also cross live to the Nine News Weather Logo”
Interesting to have presenters in different cities. Having robotic cameras makes it much more possible without much if any additional expense I guess.
Nine News Late started with the Sydney opener rather than the one with Matthew O’Sullivan.
No expanded weather on tonight bulletin with Scheri-Lee. Peter read the weather
26/8/2020 Tracy Vo is presenting tonight.
