It would be nice to see the likes of Mia Glover, Eva Milic or Tracey Smith filling in on Nine News Queensland but I reckon we’ll probably see a lot of Paul, Alison, Jono and probably Aislin Kriukelis over Summer.
Yes I hope Aislin is back from maternity leave in time to cover some of the summer period, she is a real talent.
Yep. There’s plenty more talented people in Melbourne than him, so he shouldn’t be needed to fill in down there.
That wouldn’t surprise me, although I really hope not. This will be the first time in years that Seven will have more summer options than Nine.

I’m hearing that Paul Taylor might be leaving Nine News Darwin in the coming future for other positions at QTQ. Nothing confirmed yet though.
Golden opportunity for Nine to appoint someone with a little more local significance - such as Kathleen Gazzola.

A presenter can easily be based in Darwin if needed - they share a control room with NBN News but Darwin will clash with their service during non-daylight savings.
Paul Murphy is currently presenting - who is also the News Director for NT. Gazzola is expected to return to Nine in the coming months so could be a chance for a refresh as suggested.
Considering that all they do currently for presentation in Brisbane is lock off the camera with a backdrop photo of the metro set, that could be easily done in the studio that Darwin has.
What happened to Kate Limon?
Kate Limon left that position in 2017. She was Regional News Director until Nine News Local ended.
Tony Fabris technically leads Nine News Darwin on paper alongside other QTQ bulletins but Murphy and Amy Sinclair cover the majority of the responsibilities.
NBN’s Darius Winterfield has nothing to do with NTD thank god.

Nope, same space (Studio 44).
Sports was done where Nicole presented weather, which is barely a studio.

The updates look completely different to the bulletin itself. It’s strange.
Daylight savings ends shortly so it will be interesting to see how these 2 bulletins will operate as the first half of NND will clash with NBN.
