There is rumours of one of the bulletins moving to GTV regional control room later down the track, or adding another control room to Sydney.
Regional Darwin control team would be best for these bulletins anyway. They previously ran a bulletin with 8 different local opt outs lol
Using the unused TCN control room used by Nine News Regional for NSW and the ACT? Not sure about it.
Interesting. Guess I’ve forgotten that they have all these unused (regional) control rooms now.
Would be interesting to see how this will be handled if Nine eventually buy out WIN and decide to control all the WIN bulletins, plus Darwin and NBN (assuming they were to centralise away from Wollongong)

Gone through 4 news format changes, closed production studio, moved headquarters, burnt through nearly 25 reporters and 2 main presenters.
Other than news, NTD is not making any other programs that could feature on the highlights reel. They’ll probably bring out the 1970s and 1980’s footage again.
Very few regional stations have since aggregation hit in the late 80s/ early 90s.

Nine has done this for years for these segments, always ripping content from YouTube.

Well, it’d be nice if they could sift through their own archives, but that’s a different issue.
They really need Paul Taylor back on deck - he is a real talent. His jokes land too.
It seems unusual how he took leave last week rather than over the holiday period - I believe he presented over Christmas last year as-well?
But yes, he’s a good presenter for the bulletin and has established a good community connection despite not being there.
Avoiding the busy times makes sense if you can.
He’ll be needed in Brisbane over summer. They don’t have Samantha Heathwood, Adam Hegarty or Wendy Kingston anymore.
I am actually really curious about how they’re going to do the summer period this year. From memory, last year Jonathan did weekdays for a few weeks while Samantha and PT shared weekends, Adam presented the Christmas bulletin and both Andrew and Melissa presented solo for a few weeks each.
They’re going to have to bring some of the reporters in to fill some gaps this year. My money would be on Emily Prain and Ebony Cavallaro, maybe Shannon Marshall-McCormack. Mia Glover would also be an option but she seems to be predominantly on the GC these days and I’d expect her to fill in for Bruce and Eva over that period.
