Don’t get me wrong. I’m a sports fan and love Craig Foster. But was just thinking about the main audience for the afternoon news. At least show some cool EPL highlights to make it more interesting.

Peter Hitchener just read the Melbourne weather. It’s been forever since I’ve seen a bulletin they haven’t been able to have a presenter for the weather.

Yep, Seven, Nine, and Ten never had weekend weather presenters. It’s only really been the last decade when all networks went to an hour on weekends. Helps pad out the bulletin.

Nine News was the number one program in Adelaide on Monday with another win over Seven’s bulletin 116,000 to 113,000. That set a new weekday record audience for the bulletin under the VOZ ratings system.

It’s nice to see that Nine has started getting a few wins; Seven has gotten way too comfortable, especially now with the current state of their bulletin/s. It hasn’t been good since the Terry Plane days.

Yes they’ve gotten very ambulance chaser, and seems to be at the extent of almost everything else.

Several live crosses to Nepal by networks have has issues with bandwidth including tonight.
Quickly improved.

Link dropped out for Brisbane bulletin. Paul apologised and moved to a different live cross instead.

According to The Australian’s Media Diary, Seven’s Sydney deputy news director Anthony Murdoch has rejoined Nine as national content director, replacing Gareth Parker. Murdoch had two previous stints at Nine and had also worked at 10.

Consolidation the reason.
Arms of Nine Entertainment are separated across the city with Brisbane Times located in the CBD.
Radio station 4BC, part of the company until earlier this year, owns its site in Cannon Hill.
In Sydney, Nine’s television and publishing arms were moved into the same building in 2020. They also operate out of the same building in Melbourne.
It added the location would be listed for sale by Savills to gauge market interest.
Make sense I guess, it’s an inconvenient location right, not being in the city?

Wonder if 10 will take the chance to upsize - isn’t the Nine QLD studios larger than the 10 Queensland ones?
