Nine News Content and Appearance

Looks like a minor error with the viz graphics server.

Assuming the bottom layer of the logo is a rectangle as shown here, with a transparent mask above normally creating the curved edge and hiding NZ part of the graphic.

Guessing it was just in this update?

Queensland news from the telethon

Not going too well - playout of wrong story after first break. Mia seemed to not know what to read - teleprompt error contributing?

Sport looks like from Gold Coast studio.

Bendigo’s forecast for today has been missing from the state’s weather slide on the Melbourne bulletin since last week.

Did that QLD news update at 8.05 list the late news at 09:57? Oddly specific

I’d much rather see that than to the nearest 5 minutes.

eg Tipping Point, which has an advertised start time of 5pm, but usually starts 4.57pm. I don’t like how they do things like that.

I think this is to stop viewers who would’ve just watched the afternoon news to switch to 10 for more news (its 5:00pm bulletin), or to Seven for The Chase.

Is there a reason 9 Queensland do that or is that all markets that do that?

Other markets don’t seem to do it

Nine News has been chipping away at Seven’s lead in Adelaide for a while now and finally got a win last night -though only by 1,000 - 99,000 to 98,000. First win since 31 March 2025.

Without Kate too. Interesting.

About time! Seven’s bulletin is slow and dated
