I agree! It would be a differences from 7 News Sydney too. Mark Fergo and Ann Sanders never stand.
I’m pretty sure that at least the first Sports story + Headline Recap* is always done standing on Nine News Sydney?
*Except when Georgie Gardner is presenting the bulletin, of course. I’m pretty sure she’s only ever done standing news presentation a single digit number of times.

Cross boxes in monitors of the studio annoys the crap out of me.
I hate the angles, the box looks weird or distorted, the colours are off, the presenter looks in a weird direction for the camera, or the camera isn’t positioned well for it. I hate the presenter turning and facing them.
It’s not a zoom call, it’s television.
All the networks do it in some form or fashion and I just hate it.

I don’t think they’ve done recap in a long time. But yes now you mention sport and weather is the only time 6pm stand.

Don’t know when they dropped it (I’ll admit my viewing of all TV has reduced considerably during the pandemic), but I thought Nine News Sydney was still doing Headline Recaps at the top of the post-Sport/Pre-Weather segment last year?
Not sure last year but they’re not doing them so far this year.
