Nine has sacked about ten news and sport production staff in Melbourne, including âfloor managers, lighting staff and TV production employeesâ, according to The Australian. The cuts were going to be made before Christmas, but company policy that dictates that employees canât be made redundant before Christmas meant it was delayed until after the Australian Open.

Iâm actually of the belief that Nine News Queenslandâs dodgyness tarnishes the brand nationally (thank goodness the more moderate approach from TCN & GTV works in their respective markets) to a certain extent.
But of all the things wrong with QTQâs news operations, that very tacky Indiana Jones-inspired logo & graphics for Wally Lewisâ Footy Tips is an incredibly minor thing to complain about.
