Who is covering for Hitch? Alicia or Tony?
Tony for the most part, but Alicia might do a week in late December/early January.
Nine News Sydney on Twitter and Seven News Sydney on Facebook are both showing the same live coverage of the Northmead bushfire. The quality of Seven’s stream is intermittently poor.
Both showing on Facebook. I think both 7 & 9 have a shared helicopter am I right?
Filling in the gaps.
These videos are not by me, credit goes to the respective owner.
More videos can be found by heading to the channel (through the videos).
Wasn’t it Nine News Queensland?
Pool footage. Both would have access to the feed. Cheaper than networks owning their own helicopters.
9 Melbourne’s afternoon news opened with a two shot of Alicia and reporter Laura Turner, who after some breaking news, was there to speak about the new hotel quarantine programme.
Has the blue wall always been there? Trying to cover up the old branding?
It has always been there in Melbourne. It is because that part of the set is movable to make space for the set next door.
I get networks have been doing these updates for a while, but does anyone else find them pointless…
Agree, the average viewer sitting at home watching daytime television probably couldn’t give a rats about the Interest Rates/can just look it up online if they really care.
For a few days now, Nine’s Afternoon News Sydney have scrapped the 4.30pm ‘Top Stories. A weird change.
I wonder where the screens that used to be the LHS video wall on the Sydney news set now are? I’m sure the Gold Coast would be able to put them to good use in their set.
They are in the stand up presentation area in the couch/soft set.
The main display from the previous Today Extra/ACA set plus most of Studio 22 didn’t move over to the new building.
Would be nice to have some better sets on Gold Coast and Darwin bulletins.
Unfortunately Gold Coast studio is way too small to fit most of these items. They should’ve went to a purpose facility instead of a random office building.
