Further to the suggestion for cleaning the 9 Sydney floor - they should take a hint from Ten’s The Breakfast Bar - as seen last night
Mosart, yes I’m pretty sure. Except for ABC and WIN who use Ignite.
I’ve seen the odd mistake, but never the need for another state’s bulletin to go to air.
It’s weird how these technical bloopers keep happening to Nine Sydney.
And they could do a bit of “Today Extra” from that set and get one of those “advertorials” going with one of those “magical” super steam mop cleaner type thingys or other wonder cleaning product and get it done and be paid for it even!!!
So DD8 are the ones who have designed the new Perth set.
They have posted a virtual version on their facebook page to show the design process. It has the Sydney backdrop on it too… so going to be the same design it seems
Does anyone know or have the font Nine News and Today use? Please PM me if you can help. Cheers
The font that Nine News/Today has used in their most recent graphics packages is Proxima Nova (or some variant of it), if I’m not mistaken.
Not sure about the font that Nine News uses in it’s new 2016 graphics, but I believe it’s the same one that used in the general network On-Air Presentation.
Perhaps they could do some promos with tag lines like radio
“Playing whatever! whenever!”

or
“Not playing what we want”.
Could start a format revolution - Random TV News.
My understanding is that dd8 did the broadcast graphics but not the set.
I had a good laugh at this
9 Brisbane showing a 9 News special on the main channel with live rolling coverage of the Gable Tostee trial, with the presedential debate over on 9Gem.
The coverage down here in NSW is also using the old supers, like killy06 has posted above.
Probably because it’s being produced from Brisbane.
As you’d probably expect from a QTQ news production, the picture quality is pretty shocking SD. Almost worse than YouTube quality at times!
Getting Sydney here in Melbourne currently.
Major technical difficulties here in Melbourne… Victoria is getting the Sydney bulletin.
It just went back to Hitch looking nervously and not speaking for about 10 seconds, when he finally opened his mouth there was no audio so they returned to the Sydney bulletin.
When are they going to realise this automation crap is ruining their bulletins???
At 6.08pm Hitch said good evening and welcomed viewers to the Melbourne bulletin.
After eight minutes, back to Melbourne now. Would have cost them some viewer numbers tonight over to Seven.
Technical difficulties persisting. Lighting just flashed off and on during a story introduction and the full screen backdrop graphic for a story disappeared and reverted to the Melbourne city backdrop. Hitch was a little unsettled by it all.
When ratings matter and advertiser dollars are in the millions, the cost of a few extra staff on deck to ensure the bulletin runs smoothly would seem insignificant by comparison.
^Anyone got video of this?
Every week now, there’s something happening
Ch 9 Sydney getting Peter Hitchener…
Ch 9 Melbourne getting Peter Overton…
