You know it’s a slow news day when the headline story is a live cross for discussion of the warm winter weather.
For the record Seven’s first story was about a scrub fire that also included a cross to the weather presenter
It seems to be associated with Seven now using Tony from Brisbane to present local weather rather than a dedicated Gold Coast weather presenter and Nine’s promotion of Luke.

A shame this wasn’t actually done tonight. They had it up on the website prior to 7pm. Must have been filmed today with a night loop on the set or filmed last night.
Also they didn’t really answer any questions TJ just spoke for 17mins… still good to see the banter though.

The camera control unit must have had different setting for each camera, which would explain the colour difference. Someone didn’t calibrate the white balance so they are the same.
Either that or they used cameras on tripods to film it with a mix of the studio cams

It was a bit like a reality show tonight on 9 QLD tonight - as the news ended there was a preview of tomorrow night’s “news”.

Seems Melbourne run Sport back to back with Weather on weekends now also. Usually was 630-645.
I assume logic was going early trying to pinch those afl lead viewers from Seven who want sport.
