Came across this on YouTube:

Brett hasn’t aged one bit!
I loved the graphics and VOs of this era - such authority.

Nine’s afternoon news 5pm portion from February 2015. Pretty funny final sports story:

That was a good set.

Best set they had. Such a downgrade when they moved the bulletins to studio 1.

Does anyone know the history of the ‘Action News’ brand in Australia, specifically on the Nine Network? Did it ever travel beyond Adelaide?

Does anyone know much about ‘Southern Television Corporation’? Did they just own NWS9 in Adelaide?

Name of the company that established NWS9 - originally owned by Murdoch, then later sold to NBN Limited. After some disputes between NBN’s shareholders, it was eventually sold to the Lamb Family, who sold their share of NBN.

So yes, AFAIK they only owned NWS9

Wow that’s a unique opener, never seen that kind of look before. Any chance of the video?

Great find by the way

Note the different look compared to that of Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.

Rest of the partial bulletin will be uploaded at a later date. In the meantime, here’s the opener.

Such a strange/unique opener. And the station definitely went down a similar route as Sydney with no presenter name intro at the beginning.

Thank you heaps for the insight :grinning:
