Seven may well have rights now and be planning to broadcast it on one of their channels soon, as it’s a title under Warner Bros International Television (which Seven have a deal with now).

The scheduling of Nine News Perth will be shifted from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. Delish will air straight after the news.

I wonder if this is somehow funded by the WA Government…

…And Ashes (WA time zone, so prime-time on east eoast).

Nine are yet to schedule the final episode of Chicago Justice. That is weird.
Also most markets have yet to see the final of Kevin Can Wait.

If nothing else, it’s good to see that those major upgrades at QTQ have allowed for the “Christmas In Brisbane” program to be produced in native HD this year!

Yet for some reason Riverfire isn’t. My guess is that much of “Christmas Live in Brisbane” is pre-recorded.

I was in Brisbane earlier this week and was actually standing downstairs watching them film that segment with the two kids and the two ladies in the shopping centre (as per screenshot above).

At the time I was wondering what they were doing, but as soon as I saw it on TV tonight, I recognised it straight away.

For reference, it was filmed early Tuesday afternoon.

I’d only be guessing here, but I wouldn’t be overly surprised if Riverfire might’ve still been in SD this year because the HD broadcast trucks are in heavy demand at the time of year the event is held, being football finals time and everything.

Yeah, most if not all the show is probably pre-recorded.

I know that national audiences have only ever seen them as highlight packages in random weekend morning/daytime slots a week or two later if at all (for one of them, I remember a theme park promotion shoehorned into “12 Days of Christmas” that even make Carols In The Domain cringe!), but have The Lord Mayor’s Carols ever gone live to air in Brisbane?

I would have thought that at finals time there would be less of a need for HD trucks as there was only one game on that weekend - the grand final.
