Nine Network - Programs and Schedules

So both the AFL and NRL Grand Final version of The Footy Show have earlier starts to compete against The Bachelorette. I think the AFL Footy Show is more likely to run overtime judging from last few years.

Might be live on 9GO! with the encore on Nine? Wasn’t Survivor live fasttracked last season?

Correct. It has been fast tracked on GO for at least the last 5 or 6 seasons. They’ve even aired finales live with the US the last two seasons at midday. So we’ve kind of come to expect getting it the same day.
It is not currently scheduled on Go at all next week.

So it’s only the finals that air live. That sucks.

They should show every episode live. Then the week late encore on Nine might not be so bad (although a same day encore would be better).k

60 years on… Still the one!

Season 2 of Qantas-funded series Ready for Takeoff premieres Friday, October 7 at 7.30pm. It consists of five one-hour episodes.

###Ready For Takeoff

From Friday 7 October at 7.30pm

Australia is invited to board when season two of Ready For Takeoff launches Friday, October 7, at 7.30pm on Channel Nine.

Ready For Takeoff soars to new heights as this observational documentary series goes behind the restricted lines of the airport terminal, with cameras following Qantas staff around the world who ensure their most precious cargo – the passengers – have a smooth flight.

Qantas is the world’s most trusted airline, carrying over 30 million passengers a year. With a workforce of more than 30,000 working around the clock to keep the famous airline operating, no two days are ever the same for the dedicated staff.

Bear witness to a marriage proposal at Uluru between two former Qantas Choir members; watch as Customer Experience Manager Kristy deals with devastating storms at Sydney Airport; and be fascinated by the pilots’ exploits, such as Captain Bruce Simpson showing how the giants of the Qantas fleet take off.

Marvel at the dedicated staff as they put everything on the line to transport a life-saving kidney to a patient – and undertake the riskiest job in the business, entering the fuel tank of an A380 Airbus to change a valve.

Saw a promo for new American celebrity travel show Better Late Than Never which is coming soon to Nine. The show started in August and has already been renewed for the second season. It is made by Universal Television for NBC so it would have gone to Seven if there is still an output deal. Unless Seven did not want the show and let Nine pick it up?

I notice with the start of daylight saving next weekend, that 9 News Now is remaining live into WA, causing a schedule change.

From:
11.30 Morning News
12.00 Ellen
01.00 Nine News Now

To:
11.30 Extra
12.00 Nine News Now
01.00 Ellen

Hasn’t been The One for 10 years now. No 2 network and No 2 news service nationally.

I never knew that Nine legally had to be a #1 rating network to reuse their longtime slogan “Still The One” as a one-off for their station/network birthday…

Let’s come back in a couple of months to see what Seven do to celebrate 60 years of TV, shall we?

They don’t have to be. :grinning:

Person of Interest returns 10:45pm Monday October 3 on Nine.
