Unfortunately, i dont know if Love Island airs on 9Now first or not.
It does look like the show did fail on Nine last night also.
He meant they’re airing it on Nine, now. (To try gain traction as the 9Go airings were low). Not 9Now the platform. But, yes, it airs first on 9Now at 6pm then 9Go at 8:30pm.
It seems strange they’d bother with a main channel encore, considering it’d be virtually unknown it was on and would probably not even have close to its target demographic. I did see during the week that 9Go! had a shocker, even worse than its usual mid 1% weeknight average. Wonder if something else is going on, like someone mentioned desperate for any traction if internally really worried or maybe a ratings target wasn’t met and a sponsor is already not pleased? I thought they gave up on main channel after last time moving it there to very bad prime time audiences, such as just 100 or 200k metro.

According to 9Now, The Block has been extended to 9:13pm tonight. Guides say 8:50pm.
NBC has announced New Amsterdam will finish on January 17 next year, at 92 episodes. Season 4 finale airs in Melbourne this Thursday.
Nine has done a reshuffle by moving Thursday’s line-up to Wednesday (tomorrow) in all states except WA, with the NZ-Pakistan semi-final on 9Gem in full.
On Thursday, the England-India semi-final will air on main channel in most states from 7.30pm local time, while 9Gem broadcasts the Billie Jean King Cup clash between Australia and Belgium from 9pm AEDT.
Not sure “allow” is the right word, they have GO! as well.

A minute ago, I had a chat with Channel 9 Perth whilst looking through TV guides. I noticed that the T20 World Cup between India and ENgland and the Billie Jean Tennis Cup are both shown on GEM in Perth. I was very annoyed with two sporting events may have to clash. Now that I am afraid that the cricket game will go into overtime. However, a programmer spoke to me that the BIllie Jean tennis will start on 9GO at 7PM and will continue on GO until the cricket is finished. This reminded me back about 2 years ago when 9GEM Perth had two sports clashing on one channel (the Rugby League All Stars match and the WT20 match between NZ and Sri Lanka - Perth viewers missed out a few overs of Sri Lanka’s innings during the telecast)
I mean, it is a bit frustrating to have the Cricket shown on a multichannel, even if AUstralia is not participating in the tournament. The cricket should have been put on the primary channel in HD in Perth and continued until end of telecast.
Nah. And push other programming out?
This really baffles me given that this is an ICC tournament. When Nine previously had the rights to the T20I in 2018, Perth had the coverage starting at 4pm/4:30pm with News being shown during the innings break. After the innings break, Nine News end and return to live T20 game. They should do the same for ICC tournaments.
If the England-India match was to air on main channel in Perth, given the 3 hour difference and the 7pm AEDT start, the programs affected will be Tipping Point, the 5pm news, the 6pm news and A Current Affair. You can rest Tipping Point and the 5pm bulletin but you will still need another channel to show the 6pm news and ACA.
Australia isn’t playing in this game, unlike the T20I you are talking about.
With Australia out of the T20, Nine have switched the final to 9Gem. Revised schedule for next week - My Mum, Your Day brought forward by a day across the week.
