Isnāt this the same show that had the guy with a foot that looked so bad it made some people belch when watching the Gogglebox review?

For a while there I was impressed by how much local content 9 usually had in their schedule, but B&TG 4 nights a week? Cāmon, it should be on 2 nights at best. Thatās some lazy programming and I can see it going the same way as The Apprentice & Ninja Warrior.
Also, their reliance on repeats of Travel Guides and Hamish & Andy to fill prime time slots is ordinary at best. Whereās the new programming for Wednesdays, feels like they havenāt aired any drama in ages. Why not give Bump a run on Wednesday nights?

Because apparently local drama has no place on our commercial networks, only on streaming services. Ridiculous I know.
If Nine were so intent on having Travel Guides and Hamish and Andy filling all the post 8.30 gaps they should be producing new episodes rather than repeating the same stuff over and over again.
Beauty and the Geek is best suited to 2 or 3 nights a week at most. If only Nine had another format that could fill the Wednesday 7.30 slot in addition to Beauty and the Geek.

Just echoing what others have said - Beauty and the Geek does not need to be on 4 nights a week. Should be no more than two nights a week.
Since Hamish and Andy are on Nineās book as such (with Hamish with Lego and Andy with The Hundred), then surely then both can film something together for a new show for Nine. Even if it is just a few specials like they have in the past.

Whatās with the stink about Hamish and Andy repeats? Itās not like theyāre scheduled for 7:30pm. Primetimes over well before 10pm in Australia these days. Nine havenāt aired new Australian content there for years. Why are we calling them out now?

Itās not quite as simple as that. It takes ages to prepare these things.
The point was really about the reliance of those two shows in constant repeat mode to fill programming slots and in particular Travel Guides in the earlier slot, nobody is asking for new Hamish & Andy at 10pm.
i get that we have repeats to fill in the gaps. But lately, its been pretty much Travel Guides repeats and not much else. As for Hamish and Andy, i understand it takes a while to film and edit their shows. But just a consideration for down the track to perhaps get the ball rolling. And yes - not for a 10pm slot, but more at 8.30 (or whenever their reality tentpole finishes).
Iām surprised that Nine hasnāt tried to emulate the success of HYBPA with some sort of variation. Such a successful and simple concept and now 10 have shown the appetite the public has for these sort of shows with The Cheap Seats now also proving popular. Perhaps they recognise the need for production talent like Working Dog.

Wonder if theyd ever do a Beauty and the geek with the geek being female ā¦probably never gonna happenā¦
Unfortunately, it looks like this season they are sticking with the āGeeks are all malesā stereotype and vice versa. I would like to see next season (if there is one) Male and Female āGeeksā and vice versa.
They did it in the version that was on Seven, including a male beauty as her partner.
