This is the 6-part dog adoption series filmed in regional WA.

More on Take Me Home:

Heart-warming series, set in an outback mining town of Pilbara, that follows the stories of lost, forgotten and unwanted dogs from the back streets to their new backyards. Centred around the emotionally captivating world of everyday animal adoptions taking place under the care of foster care and adoption organisation SAFE (Saving Animals From Euthanasia), Take Me Home is a special type of dating show matching dogs looking for love with owners with love to give.

So it’s Nine’s version of The Dog House.

Next week is NRL’s Magic Round with all eight matches to be held at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium. With no Thursday night game, Nine gets the top of the table clash between Storm and Panthers as compensation.

Wonder why there’s no Thursday night game? Foxtel won’t be happy Nine therefore get a Saturday, which they normally don’t have rights.

Technically Nine own the rights and sub-license to Fox (for the rest of this season I believe, when the next deal kicks in). I would assume this would mean that Nine will start showing Saturday games one round later in the season come the later stages.

It’s Magic round so all the games are in one venue - but four days is a hard sell to get people along to all days to they streamline it into 3. (The Thursday game becomes an extra Sunday game).

If Nine were smart, they’d heavily promote the special Saturday game, including in-program on the Friday, try to get some good eyeballs. The Saturday games Nine have done at the back-end of the season in recent years rate really poorly, often actually doing the opposite intention and dragging down Nine’s five city share. Though it probably does take away some FoxLeague viewers.

I’d be stunned if they don’t. It’s a top of the table match.

It’s a mix of factors I think. But it’s hard to train viewers to watch a Saturday night game when it randomly appears 4-5 weeks out from the end of the season.
