Even though I think the UK version is much much better than ours, the streaming numbers for Love Island Australia are very good , which is what really matters to 9 with this show. It’s the 3rd highest streamed show this year after Handmaids Tale and MAFS.

It’s clear it’s hasn’t really~ worked on FTA this year, is it the kind of show that could work on SVOD as an exclusive? Stan for 2022?
They were pretty good and the brand sells well overseas. It would be a bit moronic not to bring it back.
It’s huge on 9Now and brings on so much new traffic. Moving it to a Stan exclusives stops that traffic.

Delta Goodrem is filming her second Christmas special at Big Top Sydney at Luna Park this evening, this time with several hundred fans in attendance. The special, which will again be sponsored by Tourism Australia, will be shown on Nine in December.

Very late change.
Nine has secured the rights to next month’s City of Melbourne New Year’s Eve celebrations. Coverage starts at 11pm AEDT on December 31, and will include best bits of the city’s festivities, a look back at 2021, plus midnight fireworks shows from the four Celebration Zones across the CBD: Alexandra Gardens, Docklands, Flagstaff Gardens and Treasury Gardens, and a drone swarm at Docklands (both drone show and localised fireworks at Celebration Zones are new features).
Seven had broadcast the City of Melbourne midnight fireworks for the past decade or so.

Had a sneaky feeling that would happen when it was announced Nine would broadcast the Melbourne Awards (which was held a few weeks ago).
Seems like Nine have taken over the role Seven previously had in being the media partner for the City of Melbourne.
