It doesn’t make sense to finally premiere The Hunt next Wednesday, only to have State of Origin the week after.

why are most of the Britain’s Got Talent and Love Child sneak peeks in SD only, even on the HD channel? The quality difference is so noticeable.

Didn’t nine say every night there would be Australia content? Besides their news on Tuesday there was no new Australian content.

Wasn’t that Nine’s long term plan rather than an aim for 2016 specifically? Although I could be (and most likely am) wrong…

Nine did come out and make a big song and dance saying they are cancelling WB: doubling down and investing an unprecedented amount of Aussie tv

It all looks like cheap nasty filler to me

Why do Nine air nrl footy show weds and AFL footy show Thursday

Is there a reason both could not run on the same night?

Reading that schedule, Nine has only 2 scripted shows on its entire block: Big Bang and 2 Broke.

That’s pretty damn bad

Technically no reason why not but the NRL plays games on Thursday, however they could easily broadcast TFS post match

And indeed, Nine have actually aired The NRL Footy Show immediately after Thursday night NRL games in previous years.

TBH I wish Nine would just give the show a major relaunch or yet, better axe it like they should’ve done about ten years ago. IMO the timeslot isn’t the problem, it’s the content!

It just makes sense to air it on Thursdays 9.30pm/9.40pm after NRL.

But apparently the official reasoning for the new timeslot Wednesdays 8.30pm is to cater for kids.

The real reason is a lack of primetime content, to the extent that Melbourne/Perth/Adelaide is sacrificed for the sake of The NRL Footy Show.

Seeming they no Longer have the Warner Bros. First Run TV Rights, Nine are Much Better off without it Anyway.

Perhaps if they had some actual programmes, they would be.

They should poach the Goldbergs and strip it at 7.30

Why is the Big Bang Theory still on Nine? How can it be aired n both Seven and Nine, partnership deals?

I believe that Seven only has the rights to air repeats of The Big Bang Theory, while Nine still gets the newer episodes. Something like that anyway.

That’s correct. At present, Seven has Seasons 1-7, with Season 8 (currently on Nine) set to be picked up by the end of the year, according to an article from when it was announced last September that they had gained the repeat rights to the show.
Nine will retain the repeat rights to Season 9 (which its season finale airs this Tuesday), and will air Season 10 from around September/October.

Is this a permanent move or just because of SoO?
