Nine Network - Programs and Schedules

Coverage will start at 7:30 pm on 9Gem

Considering the feed goes to black at midnight, I would say yes. Unless they decide to leave the feed 10 minutes earlier, but knowing SCA’s mo, they’ll leave it to midnight.

Pretty good schedule there from 9, apart from the Kath & Kim repeats.

Don’t know why Nine didn’t decide to ditch them next Tuesday so that they could go to Wimbledon coverage earlier on the main channel

That’s the best bit.

Nine has bought the first three seasons of Canadian crime drama Coroner.

And not to be confused with The Coroner (which is aired on another commercial FTA network I think)

7TWO.

Major stuff up on Nine tonight with banners, pop-up promos etc all showing a misspelt “Extaordinary People”. Nobody noticed a missing “r” all night? Saw it twice during Doctor Doctor and just now during the show itself after the last commercial break.

I guess nobody who works at Nine watches programs on Nine to report it and fix it.

Doubt there would be too many non-Nine employees watching either.

It also highlights how much the network needs a presentation refresh.

Who refers to people’s height in inches thought it was measured in feet overseas? Wonder why it wasn’t titled 2.5 feet and turning 18.

I agree with this. At one stage they used to have a refresh almost every year. They haven’t had a refresh in a really long time now I’d prefer the next refresh to look a lot less intrusive, less busy and not creep up into the middle of the screen.

Knowing some of the other issues that Nine has had to face recently, I’m not really surprised that the current On-Air Presentation package has managed to last almost six years…

The current set of pop ups are way too big; just no subtly at all. They seem to be a lower res than what the other networks are now presenting. - though in no way am I praising any of the pop ups on FTA

Yes I’d rather they spread the print across the screen and not use such large images that cover so much of the show you are watching. They also cover the watermark so the images aren’t connected to the channel logo.

Might need a bigger mappy.
