Yes, though not entirely. There are still encores on Nine at 1:30pm the next day.
I think other cities outside of Sydney and Melbourne should try poaching factuals, it’s good to see.
(e.g.) WA government could strike a deal with Seven / Greenstone (via Cordell Jigsaw) for Highway Patrol to be exclusively filmed on Perth’s freeway / highway network?
Or QLD government could strike a deal with Seven to exclusively produce Border Security or The Force at Brisbane Airport / around Brisbane?
Has a mainstream commercial show been produced from SA in the past?
McLeod’s Daughters, The Curiosity Show, Here’s Humphrey, are some.
Wheel of Fortune (1981-1996) produced at the studios of ADS-7, then SAS-7 following the affiliation and frequency change. R.I.P.
Biggest one there, easy to forget. 15+ years ago? Yeah good to see then
Replying in a better thread.
This summer is wildly different however…they don’t have any sport to get them through and the sponsorships/partnerships that come with it. Something like a season of The Block allows those partnerships/revenue streams to open up over summer.
‘Non-ratings’ is a complete misnomer anyway. If they strip a reality series over summer it won’t help Nine win ‘the year’ or whatever but advertisers still pay money to advertise and ratings are still recorded. And if non-ratings really mattered, Seven and Nine wouldn’t have just shelled out a bomb for cricket/tennis over summer.
Oh I dont think it was that long ago. Maybe 8-10 years ago.
I must say I’m slightly disappointed none of the networks have any theme appropriate programming tonight on May the Fourth…
Nevertheless, an interesting film scheduled tonight on 9Gem
(guide is on Adelaide time)
Well, Seven have the Star Wars rights and they’re not going to air them on 7mate and given AFL is on main channel in two markets…
Unfortunate.

Oh please c’mon
Looking forward to it?
Nine has done the right thing by scheduling next Sunday’s episode of The Voice to finish at 8.30pm. Assuming it ends on time, it should give Delta fans enough time to switch to Seven for the start of Olivia: Hopelessly Devoted to You.
That’s a lot of Delta in one night.
Yeah, like bitter rival Nine want to give Seven a free kick
Have to say I’m with Sully on this one… who’d have thought?!? Nine will make its show run late for sure
Eat Well for Less looks like it belongs in the 90s but could it be the beginning of a lifestyle resurgence?
The Nine schedule for week commencing 13 May is kind of insulting to viewers. Repeats, tacky specials, foreign variety programs etc. Maybe Royal Wedding mania and House Rules fatigue will see Nine’s strategy pay off. I am not confident though.
Is it the Summer non-ratings period already?
Exactly what I thought. Then I realised it’s probably sponsored content Coles or Woolies are paying them big bucks to broadcast or advertise during.
