Nine (NBN)

Nine, ABC, Seven and Ten do not use the “HD” logo except for sport.

How about an SD mark on non-HD channels, might be the way to go these days.

Yes, for $hit Definition.

There was a new “We love it” promo in Newcastle showing a baby in a hospital.

They used a 9 | NBN logo at the end

I just recently saw a modified version of the change, connect and grow ad on NBN. The slightly modified version now says “your local team at Nine” rather than “ your local team at Win.
Has anyone seen this on Win’s Nine affiliated stations?

Still says “Your local team at WIN” on WIN Nine Bendigo.

Did the ad have any mention of WIN at all or was the “WIN Network” logo replaced by the Nine one?

It’s weird that they’ve already changed it… it seems like those at Nine Newcastle didn’t know the ad was going to air.

Here are the two versions:

So the same ad airs on NBN Nine and WIN Ten but with a different logo I assume?

It seems that Nine and WIN have a very close relationship even in NNSW where WIN is with Ten. If I am correct NBN/WIN share a building in Tamworth, do they in any other places?

It’s business. Besides WIN has had working relationships with all 3 networks for what seems like an eternity

If the Nine Regional Sales page on WIN’s website is anything to go by, yes they are co-lo’d in Nine’s offices in Sydney, Adelaide and Perth (and Media House in Melbourne)

9NBN Newcastle has survived a fibre cut at Mt Sugarloaf because they use TPG Telecom’s microwave network

Seven and 10 appear to be off air in Newcastle due to a fibre cut between Mt Sugarloaf and West Wallsend exchange. Telstra claim their DVN network is redundant but it isn’t true because they only have one fibre up there.

To make things worse… 10 and Seven only just moved off DDA’s microwave network and onto Telstra’s non-redundant DVN fibre at Sugarloaf, they are probably regretting that now.

NBN is running a different style AO billboard

This is what Nine and WIN are doing

Seven do have a satellite DR service which can restore program to transmitter sites, but it appears the infrastructure required is yet to be integrated to former Prime sites, let alone ASI market streams being backhauled for former Prime markets to 7 Martin Place and 7 Docklands where ASI streams are injected to the 7 Satellite DR uplink system.

It looks like the old news set was still in the studio with the one from QTQ.

IIRC the 2017-2021 set was built on the other side of the one from 2002-2017. The camera were turned around to face the new set, but the old set remained.

A shame given how big the space was. Could’ve built a proper replica of the metro sets there (although the cost would’ve been too much)

Would’ve been no point seeing they were planning to move.

Yes that’s a huge TV building by today’s standards… it was becoming quite dilapidated and would have cost too much to maintain.

If they’d taken a bit more care with their current set they could’ve built an adequate set in the style of the metro sets. Instead we got the “eh, good enough” version.
