That suggests to me that the Honeysuckle bulletin will be branded Nine News.
A great opportunity to launch the news brand locally as they’ll be able to use the Honeysuckle move to reinforce that it’s a locally presented and produced bulletin.

If NBN News were to be finally rebranded as Nine News (which I still have my doubts about), would the Newcastle-produced bulletin become the main technical difficulties back-up for TCN instead of Melbourne’s bulletin?
Granted that some of the packages which air on NBN News wouldn’t be of relevance to Sydneysiders, but being NSW-based it’d still be quite a bit more relevant to us in such (hopefully rare) situations than GTV!

Unlikely me thinks.
Peter Hitchener has small presence in Sydney as a long standing and well known newsreader in Victoria, but can’t say many Sydneysiders would have heard of Lobb or Beyersdorf.

Compared to the level of transit between the nation’s most populated cities I would’ve thought Sydneysiders do just as much, if not more travelling to Northern NSW. Plenty of opportunities for Sydney residents to watch NBN News on the Central Coast (yes I know, not the best example) or Byron Bay, etc.
That said, I’m pretty sure Paul Lobb & Natasha Beyersdorf have had zero Sydney TV exposure even compared to other NBN News personalities like Gavin Morris & Jane Goldsmith.

Just saw a Port Macquarie “We Love It” ID on the Taree-Port Macquarie feed, it wasn’t on the Coffs Harbour feed though… Until now, I hadn’t seen any that don’t include Newcastle footage (except for one Gunnedah one).

I never could understand the reasoning behind using Melbourne bulletins. Especially with the past 5 years 9 branding being used in neighbouring Illawarra.

I had to look that one up, I’ve been up Tamworth way many times and never heard of it before.
@bacco007 is probably the only one of us who has heard of it.
I would have thought they’d go for towns that a bit better known, Nundle and Glen Innes are better choices.
